Trouble with 2 letterboxes in VT

From: scottgriz (griz@lightfromabove.org) | Date: 2002-08-11 20:57:24 UTC
A friend and I just got back from searching for 2 letterboxes in
Killington, VT. One is the 'Maine Junction' Letterbox and the other
on is the 'James P. Taylor' Letterbox. We were unable to find
either of them. The Maine Junction Letterbox clues seemed to
lead us to what seemed like the right spot, but we found nothing.
The "James P. Taylor' Letterbox headings are just a mess. One
heading sends you straight into the woods from Maine Junction
and they other Heading taken from about 1/2 mile away sends
you in the opposite direction. We had no luck finding this one
either.
Both claim to have easy clues, but neither were very clear.
We did have success finding the 'Deer Leap' Letterbox nearby.
All of these are only 30 minutes from my house so I would like to
confirm that they are still in place so I can get them.
If anyone has had recent success finding either of these, I would
like to hear from you.

Thanks,
Scott (Griz)

Scott,

I read a posting (can't remember if it was to me or to the list) that both
of these boxes had been recently found (within the past three weeks).

So ... if you have the chance and inclination ..persevere. I do think Maine
Junction is easy, though it does have a twist to it.
